At Mercury Bay Resource Recovery Centre / Wahi Tukurua, we want you to feel happy and confident when shopping with us. As a New Zealand charity, we follow the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 — and we’re here to help if something goes wrong.
If there’s a problem with your order
If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or isn’t what you ordered, please let us know as soon as you can (ideally within 14 days of receiving it).

A photo if possible

We’ll sort it out by offering you a repair, replacement, or refund — and we’ll cover any return shipping costs for faulty or incorrect items.
Change of mind
Because we’re a charity, and in line with New Zealand law, we don’t usually offer refunds if you change your mind or decide the item isn’t quite right for you. We really appreciate your understanding on this.

Returning an item
If we’ve agreed on a return, we’ll send you clear instructions on how to send it back to us safely. Please make sure it’s packaged well so it doesn’t get damaged on the way.
When will I get my refund?
Once we receive your return, we’ll check it and let you know as soon as possible. If a refund is approved, it will be processed to your original payment method within about 5–10 working days.
